About the series
Sponsored by the Smithsburg Economic Development Commission, the Third in the ‘Burg series was launched in 2024 as part of the commission’s mission to promote Smithsburg to the wider region and encourage foot traffic downtown. The free events include entertainment and activities and are held on the third Saturday of each month.
The 2025 series runs from May through October and builds off the successes of the first year while incorporating new ideas tied directly to the Smithsburg community. The summer months feature a downtown “history crawl” and other activities, a car show, and a summer block party. In the fall, Smithsburg celebrates harvest season with a farm-to-table fair in September and Ciderfest in October.
May 17: Music & Arts Tapestry Festival
